Extra-curricular activities

Extra-curricular activities are an important part of children's development as well-rounded, confident individuals, equipped with the teamwork and leadership skills they will need for life and work.
All Stromness Academy pupils undertake an Activity on Friday afternoons, chosen termly from a list including physical, creative and entrepreneurial activities.
In addition, there are activities at lunchtimes and after school, some of which are led by our Young Ambassadors and Sports Ambassadors. This term's programme can be found here.

Extra-curricular activities Autumn 2017

Students attending lunchtime activities can collect early lunch passes from the Front Office, allowing them to maximise their time in the activity.
Please note that students who wish to attend after-school activities need to arrange their own transport home. Tickets for public buses are available from the Front Office where relevant.
