Lunchtime & After School Activities

A variety of extra-curricular activities take place in the school during lunchtime and some after school. All year groups, unless otherwise stated.

*Please arrange your own transport home. If you live on a public bus route, free bus tickets are available from the front office.

Early lunch passes can be collected from the front office for activities at lunchtime.

Stromness Academy

This morning pupils and staff arrived at school to find two dinosaurs collecting money and food donations in aid of Orkney Foodbank. Pupils and staff have been encouraged to dress up for the day. By 8:50am the food donations filled two tables.
However, at one point another T-Rex appeared so the photographer made a hasty retreat.

Lockdown Lowdown – An Online Newspaper by S2

On March the 23 rd Boris Johnson put the whole country in lockdown because of the Covid- 19 outbreak. The lockdown has put nearly everything to a stop but farming, here in Orkney as elsewhere, still continues. For many farmers Spring is the busiest time of the year.
