VOLLEYBALL FESTIVALOn Friday 23rd January, Stromness Academy sent seven junior teams to KGS for a Volleyball festival. KGS themselves had a further six teams, so its fair to say the future of volleyball is in good hands!Teams were split into two pools in the morning. Games were closely contested and there was some fantastic volleyball played. Teams were then placed into Gold, Silver, Bronze or Platinum pools depending on how they did in their pool matches.The focus of the day was getting match practice and having fun. This was certainly achieved. There was a great atmosphere throughout the day. Huge thanks to KGS for organising and to their senior pupils who helped ref games.A special mention to Stromness S3 Girls team who were the winners of the Silver pool.Our senior boys team are next up. Playing in the Quarter Finals of the Schools Scottish Cup on 5th February in Aberdeen, updates on that match later in the week.🏆🏐
